Not your standard tube!

Not every aluminium tube requirement can be met with a standard, off-the-shelf product. For specialist engineering applications, manufacturers often need specific dimensions, mechanical properties, tolerances or configurations that simply aren’t available from stock.

At Spartal, bespoke aluminium tube manufacturing is our speciality. With over 30 years of experience in precision drawn aluminium tube, we work with customers to manufacture tubes to their individual specifications, from prototype development and small production runs through to high-volume manufacturing requirements.

We produce seamless and porthole drawn aluminium tubes across an extensive range of diameters, wall thicknesses, alloys and tempers, providing solutions for applications where precision, consistency and performance matter.

Our capabilities include:
  • Large diameter, thin-wall tube
From 100mm to 150mm outside diameter, with wall thicknesses down to approximately 0.95mm.
  • Small diameter precision tube
Tubes with outside diameters down to approximately 3mm for compact and intricate applications.
  • Tight dimensional tolerances
Precision drawing to achieve specific outside and inside diameters, wall thicknesses and concentricity.
  • Telescopic aluminium tube
Precisely matched tube dimensions to enable components to fit and operate together.
  • Specialist tempers
Including T832, T9 and T651 to meet particular mechanical and performance requirements.
  • Bespoke specifications
Tube manufactured to meet individual design requirements rather than restricted to standard stock sizes.

One of Spartal’s strengths is our flexibility. We understand that specialist engineering projects come in different shapes, sizes and quantities.

A customer may need a small quantity of tube to prove a design concept, a bespoke component for a specialist piece of equipment or a reliable supply of precision drawn tube for an established manufacturing process.

We work with customers across both low and high-volume requirements, providing the technical knowledge and manufacturing capability to support projects at different stages of development.

From aerospace and defence to medical equipment, automotive, electronics and specialist industrial applications, Spartal supplies aluminium tube for products where standard is not enough!

Ideally state you outside diameter, internal diameter, wall size & length. If you need a different shape ie. Oval / rectangle, please make a note in the comments box below

Spartal Fabrication

Is further fabrication required?
See our Engineered Components section

Spartal Finish

Does your section require a surface finish?
The two most common options are anodising and powder coating. You can find more details on these treatments within our Surface Treatments section.

If you’d prefer your section supplied in mill finish, please let us know if you plan to surface treat it later. This helps us ensure we recommend the most suitable product.

Spartal Alloys

1000 Series:
Pure aluminium, excellent corrosion resistance, low strength.
2000 Series:
High-strength aluminium-copper alloys, used in aerospace, lower corrosion resistance.
3000 Series:
Moderate strength, good corrosion resistance, used in cans and cooking utensils.
4000 Series:
Silicon alloys, good for welding, lower melting point.
5000 Series:
Magnesium alloys, excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments.
6000 Series:
Magnesium-silicon alloys, versatile with good strength and corrosion resistance.
7000 Series:
High-strength aluminium-zinc alloys, used in aerospace and high-performance applications.

Each series has its own unique properties, making them suitable for different applications depending on the desired balance of strength, corrosion resistance, workability, and other factors.
